During the summer of 2020 I ended up doing lots of my photo sessions outside of the Tahoe area due to all the crowds caused by the Covid-19 travel restrictions. The Truckee and Donner Lake area have many locations that are amazing for wedding and engagement sessions that rival the Tahoe area. The big bonus of having your pictures taken out here instead of the Tahoe Basin is a lot less people and no traffic problems that you would run into on busy summer weekends around the lake. If you're looking to have your photos taken at high Sierra locations without the crowds then think about having your photos taken in the greater Truckee area.
